About Tim Ottinger

I grew up in the small town of Stanley, NC.  You could literally stand at the town limit and throw a rock and hit the other side of town, but that small town shaped me as a musician.

It was in that small town that I started singing in church at the age of 5. I can’t explain how, but I knew even then that I would be singing and performing the rest of my life.

Like so many musicians, I was in and out of bands throughout my 20’s. I had a blast playing in my band “Street Talk” with Zeke, Kurt and Rob. It was a great time! Still, I never really found that perfect mix of guys to write and play with and take my music career to the next level. That¹s when I cranked up my song writing and forged ahead as a solo artist.

Now, after 20 years as a songwriter and music teacher, I’m releasing my first EP, “Finally”. I’m especially proud of “The American Pledge”, a song I wrote after 9/11. I hope this song inspires you and reignites your love of this great country and reminds you what it means to be an American.
